Welcome to Performance Health and Fitness! Now what?
We have something for everyone, but what is going to be the best pathway for you to start your individual health and fitness journey?
Our facility has group fitness classes, HIIT TEAM Training classes, personal training packages, health coaching, and much more. How do you determine which program is the best for you?
For beginners, it can be downright intimidating! Luckily we have a system in place called our membership on-ramp program – a free program to all new members – that allows you to make the best decision for you based on your individual goals and objectives. This program offers 3 complimentary personal training sessions and even a complimentary session with our Registered Dietitian. It’s a great way to gain some information to answer common questions like,”What is the best workout program to achieve my goals?” or “I eat really clean but why is my body composition the same?”
Here’s a peek at common questions I get asked during a session with one of our members:
Question #1 My goal is to lose weight, what is the best workout program to achieve that?
Answer: In order to lose weight we want to gain lean muscle tissue with consistent strength training at least 2x’s a week if not more and either 75-150 mins of cardiovascular training along with stretching 2x’s a week to prevent injury.
Question #2 My current workout program incorporates strength training and cardiovascular training, but I haven’t seen any changes, why?
Answer: Optimal nutrition and performance go hand in hand. Your nutrition is dependent on the intensity of the exercise along with the duration. There’s a chance that you could be expending too many calories and your body ends up storing excess for later usage hence why the scale hasn’t changed.
Question #3 I want to get in the best shape possible for my trip in 3 months, what is the best way to do that?
Answer: The best option is one that you will stick to. If you need help with accountability and consistency then our 6- week boot camp program might be the quick solution. With a mixture of HIIT training, nutrition, and strength training it is the right program to hold you accountable to achieve the best results in a short time frame.
Question #4 I haven’t worked out in 2 years and the gym is really intimidating. I used to do a kickboxing program but I didn’t achieve the results I was looking for. I am lazy and I lack motivation so I just need accountability. What is the best solution?
Answer: A Health Coach can help to guide and motivate you towards your goals while making sure you work towards habits that contribute to living a healthy lifestyle. With regular appointments and check-in appointments via phone, e-mail or Facetime we can help you to stick to your program and achieve your results.
