From the General Manager | September 2020 Facility Updates

Like many industries both small and large, the fitness industry has been drastically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic suppression. While we’ve certainly had challenges and will likely continue to experience bumps along the way, we’ve been encouraged by our members, clients, and staff over the last several weeks/months.

 

We have been very pleased with everyone’s level of adherence and patience with our screening, sanitation, and distancing protocols. We’re also encouraged by the participation in our virtual membership options and at-home programming we are providing. They have served as a great tool for us to stay connected to many of our members who have chosen not to return to in-person fitness classes or training at this time.

 

Our staff should also be commended for stepping up as needed and providing guidance and leadership where needed. While we do understand that there are always areas that can be improved, we want to thank you all for helping us maintain safety standards here at Performance.

 

We will continue to promote distancing both in and outside of our facilities, as well as continue to improve our cleaning effectiveness and consistency. We also encourage all to adhere to personal hygiene standards as well as the use of PPE, including masks and/or shields. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we will continue to ask that all of our members, guests, and staff to please stay home if they are symptomatic or believe they may have been exposed to the virus until they have been cleared by their primary care provider.

 

We certainly appreciate your patience as we navigate the ever-changing business and social environment that we are all encountering. We are hopeful to be able to increase our operational hours, services, and programming in the near future as we continue to strive to recover from some of the changes to our business that have taken place.

Membership Smart Start Program

SMART START PROGRAM
Complimentary with all Performance Health & Fitness Memberships

Not sure you’re ready to jump into Personal Training? All Performance Health & Fitness members are eligible to participate in our complimentary Smart Start Program, designed to provide you with the tools to get a great start on making lasting lifestyle changes.  Our Smart Start Program consists of 4 sessions with our certified fitness and health experts.

 

The first session is our Strategy Session with our Director of Training Services, Lynde Weatherford. During this session she will work with you to establish your specific and realistic goals based on the S.M.A.R.T. principle to start or continue your fitness journey.

 

Your second session will be our Fitness Assessment with one of our certified personal trainers to establish baseline results for our Five Components of Fitness: cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and body composition.

 

The third session is a 60-minute private training session with one of our certified personal trainers.  This session is designed specifically for you based on your Strategy Session and Fitness Assessment and will provide an excellent example of how our personal training sessions are designed to challenge you through each component of fitness.

 

You will also have the opportunity to meet with our Registered Dietician, Ashley Pearson for our Nutrition Evaluation.  Properly fueling your body for an active lifestyle is vital to reaching your goals, and our Nutrition Evaluation will provide you with insight on how you can make food choices that will accelerate and enhance the results you see and feel from your training.

 

After you have completed your Smart Start Program with our staff, you will be ready for success at Performance Health & Fitness, whether that is through Personal Training, as part of our TEAM Training Program, by joining in on one or more of our weekly group fitness classes, or by navigating our 25,000-square-foot fitness center at your own pace.
