Our History

BYR_8852 (800x534)Performance has grown tremendously since its inception in 1999 in the basement of our founder’s home. Formed to provide physical therapy, athletic training and sports performance enhancement training services that “Performed”, and it still is!  Through hard work and dedicated service our employees have been able to demonstrate phenomenal growth.  In 2008, we opened our state-of-the-art facility in Coralville bringing Performance Therapies together with Performance Health & Fitness.


This 25,000-square-foot health club means our clients and patients have access to highly trained physical therapists, athletic trainers, strength & conditioning coaches, personal trainers and group fitness instructors all under one roof.  In 2002, we opened our Cedar Rapids Performance Therapies clinic which currently offers physical therapy, athletic training, sports performance enhancement training and personal training. In 2011, we expanded into Kalona offering all of the same services as our Coralville location.  As we continue to grow we will hold to the our original mission of being the best part of our patients/clients day by performing at the highest level, ensuring that client goals and expectations are met.
