The first step in making changes is to make a choice to take an action. Action can mean different things to different people. It can be joining a gym, eating healthy at every meal, or changing an unhealthy habit. As Health Coaches, our job is to help you take that action and make it into a plan. We are with you every step during your journey, helping you make changes by educating you on health risk factors, behavior modification, exercise instruction, and nutrition guidelines.
Health coaching is becoming a more popular option in the fitness world to help those who do not know where to start and may not be completely ready for change but are interested in living a healthier lifestyle. Here at Performance, our Health Coaches are ready to help you learn how to make behavioral changes that may be hindering your ability to achieve your healthy lifestyle goals. Our Health Coaches develop a customized plan to fit your life and help you make positive changes.
To establish healthy habits, you make a three month commitment to work with a Health Coach to set goals and make a plan. While establishing a confidential relationship, your coach works to educate you on how current habits may be hindering results, assist you with goal setting as well as what steps to take to reach these goals.
You will be set up with an initial consultation with a health coach to go over a health risk assessment. This will give the coach the required information to see where your lifestyle is currently and what we need to work on.
From there, the health coach will be able to establish a wellness plan that will teach you how to cope with stress, make a plan of action to help manage stressful situations, increase physical activity, and teach nutrition guidelines. Our goal as Health Coaches is to give you the tools in order to become healthier, confident, and make positive choices to keep you active and fit for the rest of your life. By achieving overall wellness, you will be able to decrease the risk of chronic diseases, become physically fit, understand the importance of making heart healthy eating choices, and have a positive outlook on life. Making a choice to work with a health coach means that you are taking the chance to change your life forever!
